Some weeks ago, we reported on the pending closing of the Trier bookstore “Stephanus.” The store has been closed since the end of January: The company with a tradition of 140 years has left the facilities on Fleischstrasse.

According to a statement by the book store the shop will be leased to a national retailer. Customers are to still have the opportunity to visit the university and city district book store in Trier-Tarforst or to use the ordering service for regional institutions , for companies, and private customers as well as to use the online shop with postage-free delivery. Beginning in March, the ordered books can be picked up in the sister affiliate “Trier Souvenir” on Simeonstrasse. A segment of the shop is already shared by the business partners.
