The fourth annual Rock Art Festival in Trier, held since 2023, is a small, intimate, one-day indoor rock and metal festival that brings together local, national, and international bands, along with art typical of the scene, all thematically linked. Here, it's not just about the music; the entire rock and metal lifestyle is embraced, true to the underground spirit: fair prices and organized with meticulous attention to detail and a deep connection to the scene!

On Friday, visitors can enjoy the Rock Art Festival's "ROKKS!" newcomer contest with FREE ENTRY. Young talents and bands (with the oldest member under 27) from the rock and metal scene can showcase their skills. A panel of expert judges, including professional musicians, will provide constructive feedback. The focus is on receiving valuable insights rather than the lighthearted judging of popular TV talent shows. Prizes include an opening slot at the Rock Art Festival 2027.

Saturday, October 31, 2026: The main Rock Art Festival, this year in its Halloween edition! This means themed bands + art exhibition, walking acts, decorations, lighting, and other planned specials. Come and be surprised!

The Night Eternal

Old-school heavy metal with a touch of dark gothic from Essen, reminiscent of bands like Black Sabbath, In Solitude, a hint of Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest, Tribulation, or The Devil's Blood. Besides playing at major festivals like Rock Hard in Gelsenkirchen and receiving top ratings from well-known magazines, the Essen-based band has not only shared the stage with giants like LNWOBHM legends Angel Witch and Attic, but also supported Blind Guardian on their UK/Ireland tour. They recently supported Michael Schenker (ex-UFO, ex-Scorpions) on tour and will be bringing their new album to Trier.

Stone Blind

Since 2017, this band from Trier has been delivering uncompromising heavy rock, a blend of old-school metal and NWOBHM, influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden. They captivate audiences with their high-energy performances at festivals, where they have shared the stage with Exodus (USA), Firewind (GRC), Tygers of Pantang (GB), DeWolff (NL), and Warkings. They have also supported Night Demon twice and, on March 28, 2026, Nili Brosh (USA, Dethklok, Danny Elfman, MJ One/Cirque du Soleil, Las Vegas, Tony McAlpine) in Waldbronn. Their current single, "Feel The Power," impressively demonstrates what Stone Blind stands for: honest, powerful rock and metal without compromise.

The Sleeping Eye

A quartet from Dahn, Ohmbach, and Saarbrücken. The sound: brutally melodic death metal with subtle thrash and black metal influences and atmospheric density. The Sleeping Eye offers survival strategies for the brutal world.
