We’ve always felt that the west side of the city deserved its own wine festival. The West Wein Fest has since become a fixture—and given the atmosphere over the past few years, it has actually evolved into something more like a full-blown wine festival!

The West Wein Fest returns for its fifth edition from August 14–16, 2026!
Friday & Saturday from 4:00 PM
Sunday from 2:00 PM

A wine festival held on the grounds of the Art Academy, right around Herrlich Ehrlich and on Trier’s most beautiful Mosel terrace! Naturally, it comes with that signature local neighborhood vibe. As befits a proper wine festival, it’s all about the many nuances of fermented grape juice: several regional winemakers will be on hand to showcase their products and estates. Corks will pop, glasses will be filled, and there will be plenty of tasting—and then some more tasting.

We’ll soon introduce the wineries joining us this time around! And—it goes without saying—we’ll be serving up high-quality, fresh street food from Herrlich Ehrlich itself! You can also count on a killer music lineup featuring our usual fresh DJs, keeping the vibe going late into the evening on Herrlich Ehrlich’s cozy open-air terrace. After all, there should be way more dancing under the open sky!

Includes this year’s West Wein Fest souvenir glass & a 0.1l pour of wine.
