Playback theater is an interactive improvisational theater form in which actors and musicians directly stage the audience's personal stories on stage. This shared experience creates a very special connection between actors, storytellers, stories, and audience.

The newly founded Playback Theater Trier is presenting this atmospherically intense and appreciative theater form for the first time in Trier.


On November 18th, the theme will be "Setting Out": stories about setting out for new shores, about what it was like to dare something new, to let go, to lose one's footing, or to find new footing; but also stories about something breaking open within, a longing, an insight, an unwavering will to change.

Perhaps you, too, have a memory, an incident, or a thought related to this that you would like to share this evening. Your story can be small or large, cheerful or serious, everyday or extraordinary – everything has its place. You can already take your time to consider what connects you to the topic of "Setting Out."
